OilExchange's Active
Show is the next-generation medium for showing prospects and
collaborating with partners and clients.
Present or discuss a prospect,
well location or interpretation with partners, potential partners or
clients from your own office, using your own seismic interpretation
software.
Our SBC technology allows you to present the data as if you
were right there. All of the parties see exactly the same data on
their screen in real-time, without the speed limitations generally
associated with viewing data over a network or the Internet.
What about the huge size of 3D data volumes? The ASP system
eliminates the consideration of file size, as no data is actually
transferred. Instead, the Internet literally becomes a thousand mile
long monitor cable, just like that connecting your computer to your local
monitor. Only screen commands are sent across the Internet, so
the display on the remote screen is generally as fast as the display on
your local screen. You use your seismic interpretation system as you
normally would, but your displays appear both on the remote screen and
your local screen.
In addition, through the use of its Citrix
Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) the SBC system allows
seamless interaction between most major operating systems, including
Microsoft Windows, Java, Unix, Linux, Macintosh, DOS and OS/2 Warp.

How to Use Active Show
Active Show clients may enter
the system by clicking on the start button below. You will be asked to
enter a system password given to you by OilExchange.
After entering the system password, follow the instructions
to select the proper "ICA Client" file. The proper file
will then be downloaded to your local machine and you will be good to go.
This is required only the first time that you use the system.
If possible, we suggest that your screen resolution be set to at least 1024 x 768.
This allows you to see the entire window without excessive
scrolling.
