Land Data Management System

OilExchange Inc. has developed a unique Land Data Management System ("LDMS") based on our Virtual Data Room ASP technology that allows oil and gas companies to digitally access and interact with information contained in existing lease files as well as accommodate future additions. Authorized users have secure access to the LDMS from anywhere within the company using their internal network or from remote locations using standard Internet connections.

The LDMS provides its users with the ability to:

Search for lease documents using either a database query system or a geographical map interface;
Electronically review "Virtual Paper" documents that were created from legacy paper-based documents currently held in traditional file systems;
Add annotations and notes to the Virtual Paper;
Digitally sign changes to documents and additions to the LDMS;
Search the Virtual Paper documents for text just as you would a word processing document;
Hold collaborative sessions between asset team members using the LDMS from any location.

Conversion of existing paper-based documents to a "Virtual Paper" format that contains both a high-quality scan of the original document as well as invisible text derived from Optical Character Recognition technology;
Geographical access to the LDMS allowing retrieval of land information via a convenient map-based interface. Zoom-in from a map of the world to your lease holdings anywhere.
A relational database providing query-based access to the LRMS. OilExchange can adapt most existing databases that may currently be in use.
The ability to search for the actual text contained on the original paper document. OilExchange achieves this through the application of advanced OCR technology that allows the converted text to be hidden while the image of the original paper document is preserved.
A familiar file system is provided giving Virtual Paper an organization similar to that of traditional paper records in a file folder. Each major section is tabbeSd for quick access as shown in the blown-up portion of the screen.
A unique collaborative work environment where multiple users can be working with the same files simultaneously. Users can even share the same screen and work together on documents. One user can give presentations to others in the organization from any location. Annotations and digital signatures can be added to the Virtual Paper Documents .

The Lease Data Management System is powered by OilExchange's secure ASP-based technology platform. Files and applications reside on a central server and are distributed to users over a corporate network or a standard dial-up internet connect. Authorized users have access from any location and computer platform. Because we are ASP based, file size or application complexity is not an issue.
